Perkins Coie Continues Expansion of Labor & Employment Practice With Partner Arthur Rooney in Chicago

CHICAGO (January 5, 2021)—Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Arthur Rooney has joined the firm’s Labor & Employment practice as a partner in the Chicago office.

With nearly 20 years of experience in employment law, Rooney’s practice focuses on the defense of employers in state and federal single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff, and class action cases involving wage-and-hour lawsuits; FLSA collective actions; discrimination, harassment, and retaliation issues; and restrictive covenant matters. He also advises employers on preventative measures including reviewing employment policies, handling disciplinary actions and investigations, negotiating severance and release agreements, and conducting employment practices review.

To accommodate Perkins Coie’s continued growth in the Chicago area, the firm is moving to a larger, more collaborative office space at 110 North Wacker Drive in 2021.

Rooney received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from James Madison University.
